Public Square

This rooftop plaza and 5 level subterranean parking garage were part of a multi-million dollar renovation to the Metro Courthouse. HPI worked to interpret the history of the site in the site design; most notably a civic lawn, plaza for vendors, a WW II commemorative grove and innovative water features.

A highlight among the sustainable elements is a 57,000-gallon rainwater-harvesting tank within the parking garage. The harvested water is used to irrigate the native plantings in the park.
