Demonbreun Street Viaduct
The new 777 ft. long viaduct replaced a deteriorated span between the Music Row area and Downtown Nashville. Time, cost, and the integration of public art were the driving forces in the development.
HPI coordinated the design of architectural treatments with the architect and engineers, and worked with Jack Mackie, an artist based in Seattle. The design drew its inspiration from the surrounding context, honoring the railroad legacy that surrounds it and the music industry that it connects.
