This state of the art Federal Courthouse is planned to be located on a full city block in downtown Nashville, TN. The site location for the Courthouse is along Church Street, the main historic spine of the city. Bioretention areas are a feature in the site design, located with the intention of making the storm water treatment visible. Other site elements include rainwater harvesting, native plants and a high-efficiency irrigation system. The project is designed to be LEED 2009 Gold certified and Sustainable Sites v2 Silver. HPI was part of the team with Michael Graves & Associates and Thomas Miller & Partners as the lead architects.
