Hawkins Partners, Inc. serves as the landscape architect for the new Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Situated within the historic downtown, this 5-acre site will be home to a prominent LEED-certified civic complex including a world-class performance hall, banquet and exhibition halls, City Offices, and outdoor civic spaces - for a total project budget of $142 million dollars.

Site features include entry courtyards, streetscape improvements, event lawns, banquet terrace, outdoor performance and gathering spaces, and a historic rose garden. This green space associated with the building complex was the recipient of an NEA/Artworks Our Town Grant, and is designed as a passive neighborhood park that compliments the architecture and neighborhood context, while providing the flexibility to support activities and arts programming associated with adjacent cultural facilities.
