Hawkins Partners, Inc. provided planning and construction documents for the reimagined Station Blvd. The streetscape continues the “Complete Streets” concept with the inclusion of a bike lane and generous sidewalks, as well as, the implementation of several Green Street sustainable features. The streetscape encompasses a new roundabout, which is a focal point/connection to the existing Old Hickory Blvd and Gallatin Pike. The roundabout also works as an entrance to the reinvigorated Madison Square, also proposed by Hawkins Partners.
The proposed streetscape includes a dedicated cycle track, bio-retention planters, LED pedestrian bollards, site furniture, bike racks, way finding signage, native and drought tolerant plant material, and a water efficient irrigation system.
